Nicknamed “The Hub”, Hastings truly is a “hub of activity” because of its prime location at the mouth of Rice Lake, and the beginning of the Trent River. Enjoy the water and the natural beauty that surrounds the Village including our historic namesake, Lock 18 on the Trent-Severn Waterway.

Known as Canada’s ultimate fishing community, anglers patiently fish for a bounty of catch, many from
the only bridge in Ontario where fishing is permitted.

The Village boasts a state-of-the-art marina capable of accommodating any yacht that is travelling the Trent-Severn Waterway, and it is within walking distance to the Hub of the Trent.
